Getting Started
What is BuildWithHQ?
The platform in plain terms: build, brand, and resell your own SaaS applications.
BuildWithHQ is a platform for creating software products you sell to your own customers. You design the application — its pages, data, workflows, and AI features — and BuildWithHQ runs the infrastructure behind it: databases, hosting, payments, security, and AI processing.
Three roles to know
- Builder — that's you. You create and configure applications in the builder console, and you own the relationship with your customers.
- Tenant — a customer company that signs up for one of your applications. Each tenant's data is isolated from every other tenant's.
- End user — a person at a tenant company who logs into your application day to day.
What the platform runs for you
Every application you create gets its own dedicated set of databases — one for live application data, one for a tamper-evident audit history, and one for AI features like search and assistants. You never manage these directly; the platform provisions them the moment you create an app.
What you can build today
- Professional tenant applications — compose and publish TailAdmin-derived React/Puck pages, app themes, custom CSS, design assets, menus, User Types, DataRoles, and Locations.
- Complete business workflows — use first-class modules and dynamic fields with create, view, edit, safe removal, favorites, files, activity, and recursive record relationships.
- AI-assisted products — add permission-filtered multimodal search, Knowledge Core, AI Insights, Universal Inbox, and approval-governed GoClaw actions.
- Headless or embedded products — use the versioned Developer API, typed SDK, webhooks, MCP, body-only pages, or complete page shells while credentials and database routing remain server-owned.
- Extensible SaaS products — install exact-version marketplace features, discover their per-app API schemas, and run approved appliance services without giving extensions direct tenant authority.
Your customers never see BuildWithHQ. Applications run under your brand, on your domains, with your logo and colors.
