# Developer Console guide

Build apps, publish exact versions, configure integrations, and use the developer platform from dev.buildwithhq.com.

## In brief

- **Home:** dev.buildwithhq.com
- **Focus:** Build and extend
- **Local preview:** localhost:4175

Use the Developer Console for the product definition and its reusable artifacts. It combines visual building with the developer escape hatches needed for APIs, installed services, AI, and exact-version distribution.

## Primary workspaces

- **[SaaS Apps](https://dev.buildwithhq.com/apps) ** — create products, inspect app-bound identity, manage API clients, and configure integrations.
- **[Templates](https://dev.buildwithhq.com/templates) ** — author, validate, version, publish, install, and upgrade reusable template content.
- **[AI Harnesses](https://dev.buildwithhq.com/templates/harnesses) ** — compose harness packs, queue exact-version evaluations, publish only passed artifacts, and inspect aggregate installations.
- **[Appliances](https://dev.buildwithhq.com/appliances) ** — package isolated services, declare endpoints/egress, validate releases, and publish exact versions.
- **[Marketplace](https://dev.buildwithhq.com/marketplace) ** — discover entitled versions, install products, and manage the seller catalog, offers, artifacts, revenue, and payouts.
- **[Developer Platform](../api/index.html) ** — use REST, webhooks, connectors, MCP, the CLI, logs, AI, and versioned OpenAPI contracts.

## Customer organizations

Inside a selected SaaS app, use **Organizations** to create and administer that product’s customer accounts, tenant users, DataRoles, and Locations. See [Manage customer organizations](../getting-started/manage-customer-organizations.html) for the complete lifecycle and security boundary.

## Recommended starting path

1. Read [Launch your first app](../getting-started/your-first-app.html).
2. Use the [Builder Guide](../builder-guide/index.html) for product authoring.
3. Follow the [Developer API quickstart](../api/quickstart.html) before writing an integration.
4. Review [Selling Templates](../selling/index.html) before publishing marketplace products.

The Developer Console builds with React components, validated data bindings, reviewed APIs, and declared package or connector contracts. Platform-managed tables, database routes, provider secrets, and tenant infrastructure are not editor surfaces.
